Run Jericho runners

You provide information about you when you register for Run Jericho. You provide this information to RunEvents, which provides online registration for Run Jericho, and St Barnabas School PTA has access to this information. The reason we need your information is to be able to administer your registration on the Run Jericho race.
This is the information that you provide and why we need it:
- First and last name: so that we can identify you and assign you a personal runner number
- Email: so that we can contact you with information about the race
- Name of Parent / Guardian for children registering for the Kids Fun Run, as well as confirmation of parental consent
- Date of birth: so that we can make sure that you comply with our age entry requirements
- Gender: so that your race results can be ranked by gender on the Run Jericho website and the RunEvents website.
- Postal address, including postcode: so that RunEvents can process payment
- Phone number: so that we can contact you in the case of an emergency
- Disability information: so that we can support you as needed during the race
- Next of kin information: so that we can contact them in the case of an emergency
- Running club membership information: so that you can benefit from discounts offered by RunEvents if you are affiliated with a running club
After the Run Jericho race, your name, gender and time on the race is published on our website and the RunEvents website.
When you sign to Run Jericho on the RunEvents website, you can choose to be contacted by us with information about future races. If you choose this option, we will add your email to our mailing list and contact you every year when registration opens for Run Jericho. We will keep this information (email address) for as long as we run Run Jericho, unless you ask us to remove you from the list. We will not contact you for any other purposes.
What we do not do with your data
We don’t collect personal information about you through any other channels not specified in the section above.

Your data is not processed for any further purposes other than those detailed in this policy. We currently do not use your data for the following purposes. We will seek separate consent to use your data in this way if we wish to do so in the future:

- Sending information about selling club kit, merchandise or fundraising

- Sharing anonymised data with a funding partner as condition of grant funding e.g. Local Authority

You are not obliged to share your personal data with us. If you choose not to share your personal data with us you may not be able to register the race.

Sponsors
What personal data we hold on you and why we need it
Every year we contact local businesses and other relevant organisations seeking sponsorship for events. Sponsorship may come in the form of cash donations, or other, such as providing snacks, water or other items for event participants.
In return, we publicise the name of our sponsors on banners in the local area, our website and social media channels.
We don’t share the personal data of our runners or volunteers with our sponsors.
This is the data we hold for each of our sponsors:
- Name of company so we can identify the organisation sponsoring us
- Location of company, as a record of the fact that we approach local companies, on the assumption that they they may be interested to sponsor an event in their community
- Type of company, as a record of the fact that we approach companies related to our event (sports, education), on the assumption that they they may be interested to sponsor an event related to their area of work
- Name of contact within the company so we can get in touch with them directly and channel all our communications through one person only
- Email of contact within the company so we can get in touch with them directly and channel all our communications through one person only
- Donation offered by the company so we have an accurate view of cash donations and other prizes
- Invoice issued date (if applicable)
- Invoice paid date (if applicable)
